First, and foremost, I am brand new to ADDA. The question I wonder, will someone give me some tips on landing an internship / entry level drafting position? Currently studying AutoCad, AutoDesk, SolidWorks, and 3DS, I feel even with my classmates in learning and they all have drafting positions. I also was wondering if someone would be willing to explain what level of difficulty drafting an entry level CAD Technician would entail, for Mechanical or an Architectural position?

First and foremost, welcome to the ADDA. You might look at the response I posted to "New to the Profession". Most pertains to your question. In addition, most entry level positions will probably involve drawing detailing and revisions, working from sketches or written instructions.
I wish you the best in your career!

I'm in the Structural Engineering field. In an Entry Level position in our firm, you would be assisting other CAD drafters. Mostly, drawing from sketches from an engineer or the project draftsman, picking up red-marks on already drawn plan or section sheets, and transfering red-marks on shop drawings. Along the way, we would be teaching and explaining what we are having you do. I hope this give you an idea of what you will getting into. Good Luck!
