How to e-mail drawings to clients 2 Years, 1 Month ago Karma: 0
We are a new drafting home-based business. My husband (the draftsman) uses Autocad 2006.

We need to be able to e-mail drawings to clients for their review to see if changes are needed before plotting.

Questions:

Is the only way to do that with Autocad DWF Viewer?

Would the client need to download Autocad DWF Viewer? How?

Is it possible to view a drawing with Adobe Acrobat, since most people already have that loaded on their PCs??

Thanks very much.

You can do that with DWF viewer. I have used it in the past and works well. But you are on a much better track with Adobe. Plot your layouts to a PDF, and if you get Adobe Pro you can edit the PDF with notes and other info.
Your clients can also add notes to the PDF and email them back to you, or they can call you on the phone and you are both looking at the same drawing.

It works like magic.

Hope this helps.
