For all those preparing for our Professional Examinations we now have all our review material on Compact Disk. This change allows a faster and more economical delivery process as well as the ability for individual to download the review material on multiple computers for easier access in preparation.
ADDA is now in the final steps of completing the Beta Testing of the Digital Imaging and Editing Examination as well as the New Architectural Certified Drafter. These examinations are scheduled to be revised based on the latest education and industry input, beginning in September. Our projections are to have the examination and reveiw material finalized and on-line by January 2009. Our on-line testing process in now underway. The ADDA Mechanical CD Examination is currently uploaded. We are experiencing some errors in the reporting system, but programers are working to get these corrected. On-Line Examinations will be Alpha Tested starting in early April 2009 to select authorized testing sites. Our plans are to initialize full usage of the On-Line Testing in August of 2009. Paper Examinations will only be offered under specialized circumstances.
ADDA is currently working on two new examinations and certification levels. These are the Apprentice Mechanical and Architectural Examinations. These examinations are aimed toward the basic theory and skill levels
ADDA has gained several new corporate members and sponsors over the last few months. These sponsors will be offering to you our Membership special discounts via postal mail and email. Take advantage of these offers, which are made specifically for ADDA Members.
New Professional Membership Catagories. As of January 2009, ADDA has created two new professional membership catagories. These are the Elite and Select Membership Titles. These catagories offer a discount on mulit-year membership payments and huge discounts on Professional Certification Renewal. This information is included on the new applications. Professional Certification Fees and Renewal. As of January of 2009 the Professional Certification and Renewal Fees have been revised based on the changing economy and operational expenses. ADDA has launched a new professional certification renewal catagory, providing a large discount to those who maintain ADDA Membership throughout the life cycle of the certification. The new fee schedules and applications are now posted.
Annual Poster Contest The Annual Poster Contest Committee has recieved the entries for the 2009 contest and judging is underway. The winner will announced onl-line the week of January 26th..

2009 Educational Technical Conference - ADDA is now making plans for our 50th Technical Educational Conference. This is an exciting time for all of us as members. For over 60 years ADDA has supported the design drafting industry and this marks the 50th consecutive conference for ADDA.
