The ADDA Drafter Certification Examination is open to all individuals, regardless of experience and formal education.  Membership in ADDA is not required for you to take the test or become certified.

Becoming a Certified Drafter, reflects your proven knowledge of drafting.  Certification will, enhance your credibility as a professional, improve your opportunities for promotion and pay increases, give you a competitive edge in a highly technical job market

When employers hire an ADDA Certified Drafter, they know that the new employee meets certification criteria and that they have demonstrated initiative and pride in the profession by becoming certified.  Thus, certification can serve as one criterion for differentiating among candidates in the selection process. NOTICE  -  Test Fee includes the Cost of the Examination and the Drafter Certification Examination Review Guide.  Standard Media USPS Mailing and Handling is included in the cost. (Please allow 7-10 days for delivery of Study Guide)  All applications and payment  or purchase orders must be received (6) six weeks prior to the examination date, unless other arrangements have been made.  Express Delivery Available.

r NOTICE  TO  PROFESSIONALS CERTIFIED PRIOR TO JULY 01, 2003   Any Drafter Certification issued prior to this date is subject to a $35.00 renewal fee and other specific criteria & information.  A GRACE PERIOD  and certain exemptions are allowed, if the individual meets the requirements of the renewal criteria.  

NOTICE TO PROFESSIONAL CERTIFIED AFTER JULY 01, 2003.  The Certification expiration date for these certificates is five (5) years from the date of issue.  Please download the above file for specific details and the certification renewal process.
