| What is Accreditation vs Certification |
Accreditation and Certification are methods by which a drafting or digital graphics program can gain approval and recognition by an industry organization. Many schools contact ADDA requesting these acknowledgements based on specific needs for the school to gain the appropriate certifications desired.
An accreditation process generally requires an onsite and hands-on review of a school's programs, faculty, facility and academic requirements. In most situations, Curriculum Certification through ADDA has delivered the desired results, most schools are seeking unless there are specific guidelines, requirements, grants or funding from outside resources that demand accreditation. ADDA Curriculum Certification is a thorough review of an educational facilities program. With the assistance of the instructor, department head, office personnel, and executive staff information is provided to ADDA. The majority of this information provided is identical to the information which would be verified during an onsite accreditation process. ADDA’s Curriculum Certification process verifies information such as faculty, training spaces, labs, equipment, training, resources, lesson plans and testing processes. This information is validated through an affidavit, issued by the facility administrator. Accreditation requires the visual and physical verification of these same items. The other difference is the cost. Accreditation requires the travel, lodging and reimbursement of the Accreditation Team. ADDA is here to provide either resource as needed. We would be glad to speak with you further when your need information or questions arise. |
